Alfie Austin - Brainchild
Brainchild began when Alfie was a small child remembering the car rides with his Mum blaring out 90s House through the airwaves. This fueled the belief that if you're listening to his music sitting still then he should go back to the drawing board. So what better point to start his first ever album that at the very beginning; with Disco, the Mother of House!
Inspired by CHIC, armed with a 4-on-the-floor beats and Fender Strat to piece together the frame for 'Who Cares.' The clean but somehow dirty as hell funky rhythms paved the way for an album that will get you moving and grooving!
He could not, however, ignore his internal voice that chimed in no matter what genre is being performed, in his own words: "I think a synth melody should go here, and here. And here" I can't help it, it's something LIGHTS, Dragonette, Little Dragon and even Blondie can be held accountable for!
And well, if Donna Summer can do it...so after sifting through the works of current House producer (and fellow Reason user) Felix Cartal, he began tickling synthesised arpeggiators and fiddling with frequency dials and thus, his Brainchild was born!'
