'Variables' Kyle Johnson's eagerly awaited follow up to his début album '1138'. His songs are injected with notes from life's journey managing a welcome uplifting quality. His lush layered vocal approach is evident in all tracks here especially Impulse with its heartfelt message carried on looped piano, guitar and synthetic bursts. Odyssey has a more electronic feel and Before Tomorrow has a relaxed, Sunday feel about its piano led charm. All in all a great follow up and watch out for the Impulse video.
